Oven Crisp Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 large garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 2x1" piece of ginger, peeled, sliced
  • 5 pounds chicken wings, tips removed, drumettes and flats separated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Cut wings at joints.
  • mix all the ingredients
  • In a large bowl, Combine flour and all ingredients. Shake to mix ingredients and add wings.
  • covering with foil and spraying on it with cooking spray. than Bake for 30-35 minutes. after 20 minutes turn wings.
  • after Crisp Chicken Wings cooling than add 1/4 cup hot pepper sauce and unsalted butter. let sit for minutes until butter is melted and thicken slightly.
