  • 1 tbsp olive oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 tsp Old Bay or Cajun seasoning Adjust to taste.
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika For extra depth.
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted, for drizzling)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • ½ lemon Juice of ½ lemon (optional) For brightness.

Method

Preparation

  • Peel the onion, ensuring the root remains intact.
  • Brush the onion with olive oil or melted butter, then sprinkle with Old Bay or Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned onion in the air fryer basket at 375°F (190°C) for about 25-30 minutes or until it’s tender and golden brown.

Garlic Butter Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice (if using).

Assembly

  • Once the onion is done, drizzle the garlic butter sauce over it and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
