Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup carrots, shredded
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 head butter or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated

Optional Toppings

  • to taste chopped peanuts
  • to taste cilantro
  • to taste lime wedges

Method

Preparation

  • In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  • Add ground chicken, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink.
  • Stir in soy sauce and hoisin sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until combined.
  • Add shredded carrots and green onions, mixing well.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken mixture in lettuce cups and top with any optional toppings.

Notes
