Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 pieces ripe bananas Use very ripe bananas for best flavor.
  • 2 cups rolled oats Can be blended for a smoother texture.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup almond milk Can substitute with any other milk or non-dairy milk.
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon Do not skip for better flavor.
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts Optional ingredient.

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  • Add oats, applesauce, almond milk, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
  • If using, fold in the chopped walnuts.

Baking

  • Line a muffin tin with paper liners and fill each cup with the batter.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool before serving.
