  • 1 can can of beer (or soda) Use your favorite flavored soda as an alternative.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) Add for a spicier flavor.

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
  • In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  • Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Rub the oil and spice mixture all over the chicken, covering it thoroughly.
  • Open the can of beer and take a few sips (or pour some out), then insert the can into the cavity of the chicken.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken upright on the grill. Close the lid and cook for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Carefully remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes
