- 1 cup black beans, canned or cooked
- 1 cup rice Soaking for 30 minutes beforehand can help with even cooking.

- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika

Method
Preparation
- In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Add the sausage and brown it slightly.
- Stir in the cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add the rice and stir to combine.
- Pour in the broth and black beans, then bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked through.
- Fluff with a fork and garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
