Ingredients

Potato Base

  • 2 lbs potatoes, thinly sliced

Creamy Mixture

  • 8 oz Boursin cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme (fresh or dried)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Topping

  • 1 cup grated cheese (e.g., Gruyère or cheddar) for topping

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, milk, minced garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  • Spread half of the Boursin cheese on top of the potatoes.
  • Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  • Repeat layers with the remaining ingredients.
  • Top with grated cheese.

Baking

  • Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
