Ingredients

Casserole Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough (16.3 oz each)
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage (optional) Can be omitted for a vegetarian version.
  • 1 jar pizza sauce (14 oz)
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices Or any favorite toppings.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Olive oil (for greasing)

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • If using meat, cook it in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
  • Open the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
  • In a large bowl, combine the biscuit pieces, cooked meat (if using), pizza sauce, pepperoni, Italian seasoning, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
