- 10 large Medjool dates Soft dates preferred for best texture.
- 1/2 cup almond butter Can substitute with any nut butter.
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips Use any type of desired chocolate.
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil For melting with chocolate.
- Sea salt Optional, for sprinkling on top.
Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully slice the dates open lengthwise and remove the pits.
- Stuff each date with a spoonful of almond butter.
- Place the stuffed dates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Chocolate Drizzle
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together until smooth.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the almond butter-filled dates.
- If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, just until warm.
- Allow to cool slightly before enjoying.
