  • 10 large Medjool dates Soft dates preferred for best texture.
  • 1/2 cup almond butter Can substitute with any nut butter.
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips Use any type of desired chocolate.
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil For melting with chocolate.
  • Sea salt Optional, for sprinkling on top.

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully slice the dates open lengthwise and remove the pits.
  • Stuff each date with a spoonful of almond butter.
  • Place the stuffed dates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Chocolate Drizzle

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together until smooth.
  • Drizzle the melted chocolate over the almond butter-filled dates.
  • If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, just until warm.
  • Allow to cool slightly before enjoying.
