  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Try using pepper jack for a spicier option.
  • 1 package biscuit mix Opt for whole wheat version for a healthier twist.
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, frozen mixed vegetables, cream of chicken soup, and milk. Stir until well mixed.
  • Pour the chicken mixture into a greased baking dish.

Biscuit Mixture

  • In another bowl, mix the biscuit mix, water, melted butter, garlic powder, thyme, and black pepper until crumbly.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit mixture evenly over the chicken mixture.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving.
