- 1 lb ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Feel free to mix different types of cheese.
- 1 bag tater tots (about 32 oz) Use gluten-free tater tots for a gluten-free version.
- 1/2 onion chopped
- 1 cup milk
- to taste Salt and pepper

Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned; drain excess fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef, shredded cheese, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Assembly
- Spread half the tater tots in a greased casserole dish.
- Pour the beef mixture over the tater tots and then top with the remaining tater tots.
Baking
- Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown.
Serving
- Serve hot, adding pickles, mustard, and ketchup if desired.

Notes
