Ingredients
Pasta and Meat Sauce
- 1 pound ground beef You can use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- 2 cups marinara sauce Choose your favorite brand or homemade.
- 8 ounces spaghetti Any pasta shape can be used.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the meat.
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder For enhanced flavor.
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Can be adjusted based on preference.
- Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning the beef.
Cheese Toppings
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded For a gooey top layer.
- 1 cup ricotta cheese Adds creaminess.
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated For topping before baking.
Method
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked spaghetti, meat sauce, mozzarella cheese, and ricotta cheese. Mix well.
Baking
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
