Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box 12.5 oz Ritz Bits Crackers, Original
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, melted 1 stick
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried Parsley Flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Fine Sea Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Finely Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Finely Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 tsp Smoked Paprika optional
  • pinch Cayenne Pepper optional

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Melt 1/2 cup of butter. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, parsley flakes, sea salt, black pepper, and optional smoked paprika & cayenne pepper until everything is well combined.
  • Mix in the finely grated Parmesan and shredded sharp cheddar cheeses with the seasoned butter. Stir well.
  • Pour the seasoned cheesy butter mixture over Ritz Bits in a very large bowl. Gently toss until all the crackers are evenly coated.
  • Spread the coated Ritz Bits in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 300°F (150°C), stirring gently halfway through. The crackers should be lightly golden and the cheese melted. If they are still soft, bake for another 3-5 minutes, watching them closely.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet for maximum crispiness. Gently break apart any stuck clusters and transfer the snacks to a serving bowl.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-5 days. Make sure to coat all the crackers evenly for the best flavor, and feel free to adjust the spices according to your taste. If you want to kick up the heat, add more cayenne pepper to the butter mixture.
