Ingredients

  • 1 cup mozzarella, cubed
  • ½ cup grated parmesan
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or Italian)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • oil for frying or spray oil for baking

Method

  • Pat dry mozzarella cubes with paper towels.
  • Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat cheese cubes in flour, then dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each piece is well covered.
  • Chill breaded bites in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to help coating stick.
  • Fry at 350°F (175°C) for 45 seconds per side, or air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8 minutes, or bake at 425°F (220°C) for 12 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dips like marinara, ranch, or garlic aioli.
