Ingredients
For the pie bites
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 1 large egg, beaten for egg wash
- Granulated sugar for sprinkling
- a pinch cinnamon optional
Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pie crusts on a lightly floured surface.
- Using a round cutter (a glass works well), cut out circles from the pie crust.
- Place a teaspoon of cherry pie filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the circle over the filling to create a half-moon shape.
- Press the edges down with a fork to seal.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes
