Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup hot water
  • ¼ cup cold water

Filling

  • 200 g ground beef or pork Can substitute with chicken, turkey, or lamb.
  • 2 stalks green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Oil for frying Use enough to cover the skillet.

Method

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the flour with hot water and cold water to form a dough. Knead until smooth and let rest for 30 minutes.
  • In another bowl, combine the ground meat, green onions, ginger, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a thin circle.
  • Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of each circle, fold, and seal the edges.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the pies until golden brown on both sides.

Serving

  • Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes
