Ingredients
Cookies
- 1 cup unsalted butter, browned Make sure it is browned, not burned.
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 cup brewed coffee (cooled)
Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1-2 tablespoons milk Adjust for desired consistency.
Method
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream together the browned butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Stir in the cooled brewed coffee until combined.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
Glazing
- For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk if needed.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies.
