Ingredients

Cookies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, browned Make sure it is browned, not burned.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 cup brewed coffee (cooled)

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk Adjust for desired consistency.

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, cream together the browned butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  • Stir in the cooled brewed coffee until combined.
  • Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

Glazing

  • For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk if needed.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies.
