- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it is softened for easier mixing.
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free blend if needed.
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) You can also use different types of chocolate.
Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them separated by parchment paper.
