  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it is softened for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free blend if needed.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) You can also use different types of chocolate.

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
