  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed Can substitute with black beans.
  • 1 can (15 oz) corn, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with vegetable broth for vegetarian option.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can use other types of cheese like Monterey Jack.
  • 1 bag (32 oz) tater tots For a crispier top, bake a few minutes longer.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the kidney beans, corn, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Top with an even layer of tater tots.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
