  • 1 large green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup cooked chopped bacon
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted For mixing
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can unsalted cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese Divided
  • 1 cup Ritz crackers, crushed For topping

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the chopped cabbage and cook for about 5 minutes until tender. Drain well.
  • In a large bowl, mix the ranch dressing, cooked bacon, chopped onion, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Stir in the cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise, and half of the cheddar cheese.
  • Fold in the drained cabbage until well combined.

Baking

  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and crushed Ritz crackers on top.
  • Drizzle with the remaining melted butter.
  • Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
