Ingredients
Main ingredients
- 2 cups 100% unsweetened cranberry juice Use unsweetened for better control over sweetness.
- 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder This is essential for the gummy texture.
- 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste) Adjust sweetness based on preference.
- ½ cup water Used for blooming the gelatin.
Method
Preparation
- Pour the ½ cup of water into a bowl. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface. Let it sit for 5 minutes until the gelatin absorbs the water and looks spongy.
- In a small saucepan, gently heat the cranberry juice over medium-low heat until warm but not boiling.
- Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm cranberry juice. Whisk gently until fully dissolved.
- If using honey or maple syrup, add it now and stir until combined. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Pour the mixture into a lightly greased glass dish or silicone mold.
- Place in the refrigerator and chill for 2–3 hours or until fully set.
