Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound steak (such as sirloin or tenderloin), cut into bite-sized pieces Use a good quality steak for the best flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust garlic to your liking; add more if you enjoy a stronger flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

Cooking the Steak

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • Add the steak bites to the skillet in a single layer, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes without stirring, until a golden crust forms.
  • Flip the steak bites and cook for another 2-3 minutes until cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet.
  • Stir well and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Return the steak bites to the skillet, tossing to coat them in the sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve these steak bites hot, straight from the skillet. They pair well with mashed potatoes, rice, or a simple salad. The creamy sauce is also great as a dip for crusty bread. For storing leftovers, let the steak bites cool and transfer them to an airtight container; they can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat to maintain tenderness.
