Pork and Sauce Ingredients
- 4 pieces pork chops
- 2 cups fresh spinach Can substitute with frozen spinach.
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced Use any variety of mushrooms.
- 1 cup heavy cream For lighter version, use a low-fat alternative.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking the pork chops.
- 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances flavor.
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional) Optional for serving.
Method
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and sear in the skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are soft.
- Stir in the fresh spinach and cook until wilted.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir well to combine.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet and let them simmer in the creamy sauce for a few minutes.
- Optional: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
