  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Boneless and skinless preferred
  • 1 cup sundried tomatoes in oil, drained and chopped Use good quality for better flavor
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with coconut milk for a lighter version
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference
  • to garnish Fresh basil For garnish

Method

Preparation

  • In a slow cooker, combine the chicken breasts, sundried tomatoes, heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir until the chicken is well coated in the sauce.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken in the sauce if desired.

Serving

  • Serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes and garnish with fresh basil.

Notes
