Method
Preparation
- Season the chicken legs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken legs for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Cooking
- Place the seared chicken legs in the slow cooker and add the chicken broth.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
Finishing
- For crispy skin, place the cooked chicken under the broiler for 3-5 minutes after cooking.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve.

Notes
Don’t rush the searing step! Browning the chicken legs helps lock in flavor and gives a nice texture.
