Ingredients

For the Cookie Dough

  • 70 g Brown Sugar
  • 70 g Sugar
  • 115 g Butter (melted) Melted for mixing.
  • 1 unit Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 220 g Plain Flour Regular all-purpose flour.
  • 1 tbsp Cornflour For added tenderness.
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt

For the Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 90 g Butter (softened) Softened for easy mixing.
  • 90 g Cream Cheese Softened for easy mixing.
  • 250 g Icing Sugar For sweetening the frosting.

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and sugar together until smooth.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, then stir until well combined.
  • In another bowl, mix the plain flour, cornflour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  • Scoop the dough onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
  • Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the center is still soft.

Frosting Preparation

  • While the cookies cool, make the cream cheese frosting by mixing the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  • Gradually add the icing sugar and mix until creamy.
  • Once the cookies have cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting on top.

Notes

Crumbl Cookies are best served fresh. Store them in an airtight container for up to one week, or freeze for up to three months. Make sure your butter is at the right temperature for easy mixing, and do not overbake the cookies.
