Method
Cooking Pasta and Broccoli
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. During the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pasta water. Drain and set aside.
Sautéing
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Combining
- Add the cooked pasta and broccoli to the skillet, tossing to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
- Serve warm, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes
