Lasagna Ingredients
- 9 pieces lasagna noodles Cook according to package instructions.
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage For a richer flavor, you can mix both.
- 1 medium egg Helps bind the cheese mixture.
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- to taste Salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil For browning the meat.
Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the ground beef or sausage. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
Assembling
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce, followed by three noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, half of the meat mixture, and a layer of mozzarella.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, marinara sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
Baking
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes
