Batter

  • 1 cup milk

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining 1/2 cup of sugar.
  • Mix in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  • Spoon the peach mixture over the batter; do not stir.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
