Method

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir well.
  • Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper, and add bacon pieces or red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, then serve warm.
