  • 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pan.
  • Add the diced potatoes to the skillet and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently until they begin to soften.
  • Stir in the sliced onion and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Add the chopped cabbage and olive oil to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring often, until the cabbage is tender.
  • Fold in the crispy bacon and heat for an additional minute before serving.
