Ingredients

Dumplings

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Cabbage Mixture

  • 1 head green cabbage, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter For sautéing
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional fresh herbs (like parsley) for garnish

Method

Preparation

  • In a large pot, boil water and add a pinch of salt.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, milk, eggs, and salt to form a smooth dough.
  • Shape the dough into small dumplings.

Cooking

  • Drop the dumplings into boiling water and cook until they float to the top, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add chopped onions and cabbage, and sauté until tender.
  • Drain the dumplings and mix them into the sautéed cabbage.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
