Method
Preparation
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and the yeast mixture.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough gently on a floured surface, then shape it into a ball.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough into an oval shape, add colored sugars in the center, and fold it over.
- Shape the dough into a ring and place it on a greased baking sheet.
- Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Icing and Decoration
- For icing, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth, drizzling it over the cooled cake.
- Decorate with colored sugars, forming a festive design.
