- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Method
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Add in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
These cookies are delicious on their own but can be served with a scoop of ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. They also pair well with a glass of milk or coffee.
