- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 1/2 cups white sugar You can substitute brown sugar for half.
- 1 count egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- to taste drops green food coloring Use gel food coloring for a vibrant color.
Toppings
- as needed sprinkles red sprinkles Add a single sprinkle to each cookie.
Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In a large bowl, cream together the melted butter and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients, adding green food coloring while mixing until you reach your desired color.
Baking
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Add a single red sprinkle to each cookie to represent the Grinch's heart.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven or until they are golden.
- Let cool on wire racks.
