  • 1 cup water chestnuts, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce Use gluten-free hoisin for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 head of lettuce, leaves separated Iceberg or butter lettuce recommended.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey until browned.
  • Add the minced garlic and chopped water chestnuts, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in the hoisin sauce, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  • Remove from heat and spoon the turkey mixture into the lettuce leaves.
  • Top with optional sliced green onions or sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately.
