Method
Preparation
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté until they are softened.
- Add the diced ham and potatoes to the pot.
Cooking
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, then serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes
