Ingredients
For the Hamburger Steaks

- 1 medium onion, chopped

Method
Cooking the Patties
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Shape the ground beef into patties and season them with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties in the skillet until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove the patties and set them aside.
Making the Gravy
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing to a simmer.
- Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Serving
- Serve the hamburger steaks hot over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes or fluffy rice.
- Pour the rich brown gravy generously over the patties to soak into the sides.
- Add a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad to balance the meal.
