Ingredients
For the dough
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
For coating
- Cinnamon sugar for coating
Method
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt together.
- In a separate bowl, combine the applesauce, almond milk, vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Scoop the batter using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before rolling in cinnamon sugar.
Serving
- Serve warm and enjoy guilt-free!

Notes
