- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)
Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, food coloring, and vanilla.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Spread softened butter on the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over it.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice it into rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased pan and let them rise for about 30 minutes.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until cooked through.
Icing
- For the icing, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla together until smooth.
- Spread icing over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
