Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers (any color)
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 4 cups cooked rice (white or brown)

Sauces and Seasonings

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Garnishes

  • Green onions, sliced for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Method

Cooking the Steak and Vegetables

  • Start by heating a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
  • Add the steak to the hot skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, just until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  • Return the steak to the skillet and add the soy sauce, sesame oil, and teriyaki sauce (if using). Stir everything together for another 2 minutes until heated through.

Serving

  • Serve the steak and vegetables over a bed of cooked rice. Top with green onions and sesame seeds for added flavor and crunch.
