  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Arborio rice essential for creamy texture
  • 4 cups chicken broth can use vegetable broth for vegetarian option
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced can substitute with Italian or chicken sausage
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese for creamy finish
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

Cooking Instructions

  • Set the Instant Pot to 'Sauté' mode. Add the olive oil, chopped onion, and minced garlic; cook until the onion is soft.
  • Stir in the Arborio rice and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Add the sliced smoked sausage and chicken broth; stir to combine.
  • Seal the Instant Pot and set it to 'Manual' mode for 6 minutes.
  • Once the timer goes off, do a quick release of the pressure.
  • Open the lid and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
