- 4 cups medium potatoes (Russet, Maris Piper, or Roosters) Ensure they are fully cooked and tender
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons sea salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter Plus more for cooking
Method
Preparation
- Boil the medium potatoes until tender, then allow to cool slightly and peel.
- Mash the potatoes in a bowl until smooth.
- Add the flour, sea salt, and black pepper to the mashed potatoes and mix until combined.
- Form the potato mixture into a round disk about ½ inch thick.
- Cut the disk into quarters to create four farls.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
- Cook the farls in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

Notes
Store any leftover potato farls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in a skillet for a couple of minutes on each side until warm. For a crispier texture, use more butter when cooking.
