- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut or almond)
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup protein powder
Optional Add-ins
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds (optional)
- 1/4 cup dried apples (optional)
Method
Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, apple sauce, nut butter, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, and protein powder until well combined.
- If desired, fold in the chopped nuts or seeds and dried apples.
- Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet or plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze and thaw in the fridge before enjoying. If the mixture feels too dry, add a little more apple sauce or nut butter.
