Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut or almond)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup protein powder

Optional Add-ins

  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds (optional)
  • 1/4 cup dried apples (optional)

Method

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, apple sauce, nut butter, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, and protein powder until well combined.
  • If desired, fold in the chopped nuts or seeds and dried apples.
  • Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Place the balls on a baking sheet or plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Notes
