Ingredients

For the meatballs

  • 1 lb ground beef You can substitute with ground turkey or pork
  • 1/2 cup almond flour Can substitute with coconut flour, adjust quantity accordingly
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese For a dairy-free option, use nutritional yeast
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the garlic butter sauce

  • 4 tbsp butter Use unsalted butter for better flavor control
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

For garnish

  • Fresh parsley Chopped, for garnish

Method

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, almond flour, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove the meatballs and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Return the meatballs to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce.
  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to coat.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes
