  • 12 pieces plain round crackers
  • 8 oz cream cheese mixed with fresh herbs (such as dill) Use softened cream cheese for easier spreading.
  • 6 pieces cherry tomatoes, sliced in half Use cut-side down for wings.
  • 6 pieces black olives (whole or halved) Used for the ladybug's head.
  • 2 stalks fresh chives Cut into short pieces for antennae.

Preparation

  • Start by taking the softened cream cheese mixed with fresh herbs and spreading a generous layer on each cracker.

Building the Ladybugs

  • Place a cherry tomato half, cut-side down, on top of each cream cheese-covered cracker to form the ladybug’s wings.
  • Add a whole or halved black olive on top of the cherry tomato for the ladybug's head.
  • Insert the chive pieces into the olive to create antennae.

Serving
