  • 1 head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 cup cauliflower rice (optional) Use if desired for added texture
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Adjust to taste
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Olive oil for cooking

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the onion and garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Add the ground beef or turkey, and cook until browned.
  • Stir in the chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • If using, fold in the cauliflower rice.
  • Cook until the cabbage is tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve hot, optionally with rice on the side.
