  • 2 cups whole-grain oats You can substitute rolled oats.
  • 1 cup natural almond butter or peanut butter Feel free to substitute with any nut or seed butter.
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Use agave syrup for a vegan option.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, almond butter, honey, cacao powder, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm.
  • Cut into bars and serve.
