  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon honey Adds sweetness

Method

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and brown them in the skillet for about 5 minutes on each side.
  • Remove the chicken and set it aside.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, add diced onion and bell pepper, and sauté until softened.
  • Stir in the rice, BBQ sauce, chicken broth, and honey. Mix well.
  • Place the chicken back into the skillet, cover, and let everything simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.

Serving

  • Serve warm and enjoy! You can serve directly from the skillet or garnish with chopped green onions or fresh herbs.
