  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For searing

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Rub the seasoning mix over both sides of the pork chops.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Transfer the chops to a baking dish and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
